About

Overview

Matthew X. Lowe, Ph.D. is a trained research scientist and educator with over 15 years of experience researching factors that influence human behavior and brain function.


He is currently Senior Research Director at Realm of Caring, a cannabis research non-profit which seeks to facilitate and encourage the mainstream acceptance of transformative, plant-powered therapies to benefit individuals and families and serve healthcare providers as well as the hemp and cannabis industries. He is also Chief Scientific Officer at Unlimited Sciences, a psychedelics research non-profit using data-driven methods to inform public perception, education, policy, and practices for psychedelics use. 


Additionally, he is Principal Investigator for the Cannabis & Health Research Initiative and a Lead Educator & Founding Member for the Oregon Psychedelic Institute where he lectures as a licensed Career School Teacher.


Dr. Lowe was named one of the top 25 emerging leaders in psychedelic research and modern theory.
